MyGaTech Emergency Maintenance


OIT has announced that they will perform emergency MyGaTech maintenance between 11:00 PM, Thursday, July 2, and 1:00 AM, July 3, 2009.  This will affect OIT Zimbra users.  For full details, please see the announcement below.

Emergency MyGatech maintenance 11pm Thu night July 2, 2009.


WHAT IS HAPPENING?

  OIT will apply an emergency security patch to the MyGatech cluster. We

will also take advantage of this outage to complete the relocation of one

of the mailstores.


WHEN IS IT HAPPENING?

  From 11pm Thursday night, July 2, until 1am Friday morning, July 3.


WHO IS AFFECTED BY THIS INTERRUPTION?

  Users of MyGaTech/Zimbra will be unable to access their MyGaTech email,

calendar, or contacts during this timeframe.


WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO WHEN THE SYSTEM IS AVAILABLE AGAIN?

  Business as usual. Mail sent to MyGaTech/Zimbra users during the period

of this outage will be queued in the central systems and delivered after

the system is in operation again.


HOW DOES THIS ACTIVITY BENEFIT YOU?

  Zimbra has released a security patch that they recommend be applied as

soon as possible.
