MyGaTech Maintenance


OIT has announced that they will perform MyGaTech maintenance between 11:00 PM, Wednesday, July 1, and 1:00 AM, July 2, 2009, and again between 11:00 PM, Monday, July 6, and 1:00 AM, July 7, 2009.  This will affect OIT Zimbra users.  For full details, please see the announcements below.

WHAT IS HAPPENING?

My GaTech/Zimbra mail, calendar and contacts will be down during two

specific time periods between July 1 and July 7, 2009.


WHEN IS IT HAPPENING?

JULY 1-2, 2009 11:00PM . 1:00AM

JULY 6-7, 2009 11:00PM . 1:00AM


WHO IS AFFECTED BY THIS INTERRUPTION?

. Users of My GaTech/Zimbra services, including BuzzPort users who might

try to access their email or any group or course calendars during this

time.

Effects to these users are:

. Users of My GaTech/Zimbra will be unable to access their My

GaTech/Zimbra email, calendar, or contacts during these time periods.

. People who send e-mail to users of My GaTech/Zimbra may receive a "mail

delivery delayed" message.


WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO WHEN THE SYSTEM IS AVAILABLE AGAIN?

Business as usual. Mail sent to My GaTech/Zimbra users during the period

of this outage will be queued in the central systems and delivered after

the system is in operation again.


HOW DOES THIS ACTIVITY BENEFIT YOU?

OIT is performing work to enhance the redundancy of our current e-mail

system.
