Configuring the iPhone for Exchange
Before you start, ensure you are either not on GTwireless, or if you are, that you have authenticated via the web. Also, you must have the 2.0 iPhone firmware or better. If you have an iPhone 3G, you already have this firmware. You may need to upgrade in iTunes if you have an original iPhone.
In order to set up your email to use Exchange do the following:
1. Click on your Settings icon.
2. Click on Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
3. Click on Add Account.
4. Click on Microsoft Exchange.
5. Enter your CC email address where it says Email.
6. Where it says Username enter cc\username, where username is your CC AD domain (Windows) username.
7. Enter your CC AD domain (Windows) password in the Password entry box.
8. Hit the Next button.
9. The phone should begin to verify the Exchange information; you'll get two error messages related to certificates. Hit the Accept button for both.
10. A new text field should now appear called Server and should be prefilled with ccmail.cc.gatech.edu (if not, fill that in). Now, hit Next.
11. A new dialog should appear with options to turn on or off your Mail, Contacts, and Calendars. Simply turn on the ones you want to have access to on your iPhone and click Save.
