Printing from Wireless UNIX and Mac OS X Using VPN Access

To print to a CoC print server, you must be attached to the GT network.  If you are not, you will need to connect in, such as through LAWN or VPN. CoC Faculty and Staff are eligible to use the CoC VPN (Virtual Private Network) service which allows access to internal network services such as printing to CoC printers.  This is a handy method for UNIX users (e.g. Mac OS X) to print using our UNIX CUPS server.

Remember, these steps work only for VPN users (currently CoC faculty and staff only).

For Mac OS X users, follow the steps below:

  1. Start the Cisco VPN client and authenticate using your CoC user login credentials.
  2. Now, follow the printing instructions for "Inland Mac" to configure printers through printhost.cc.gatech.edu.
