Maintenance CCB Power outage for Data Center Power upgrade Hello, CoC is upgrading the power in the CCB Data Center (CCB 247) to install new raw power feeds for additional HPC clusters and other research and instructional servers. To install the new power, the electricians need to shut off power to the entire building for a maximum of 8 hours but the likelihood is much less time. The date of Saturday, June 25th has been identified as a suitable date from 6AM-2PM. If you have research or paper deadlines in this time period, please let TSO know so that we can reschedule the power work. TSO will route all networks over the redundant path out of KACB, so KACB and TSRB will have network connectivity during the outage. CoC core services (email, home directories, web space, printing) are housed in the KACB data center; therefore, these services will be unaffected because of the new secondary network path mentioned in point one. Please note that the following host/services will not be available during the maintenance: - CS equipment (factor, gomez, himalaya) - CompArch resources (pasta, sushi clusters, sampras) - CERCS resources (vogue, awing, warp, maquis, polymoa, netlab, sith, versace) - GTISC server racks - CSE resources (hogwarts, jazz, cellbuzz, sunbuzz, ion, woolybear, house, pele) - General resources (gaia, killerbee clusters, ARA - academic remote access, research server backups) - HSI server rack - Academic ARA resources
Maintenance CCB Router Maintenance Moving the rack that the CCB router is in to make room for the installation of a new racking system.
