UPDATE:

Yesterday, it came to our attention that a large number of mailing lists (~200) hosted on our Mailman server had been inadvertently misconfigured last week; and as a result, were not accepting new email messages.  We determined there were ~60 email messages sent to 18 affected lists during the outage. Email messages sent to those lists were not queued or delivered, and the sender received a bounce back “Delivery Status Notification (Failure)” message indicating a “User Unknown” error.   Currently, we are contacting the affected list owners as well as senders.

Please accept our apologies for any inconveniences caused by this unfortunate error. We consider email delivery a top priority as we know it is a vital communication channel for the College.
