UPDATE:
After investigating, TSO discovered that multiple hard drives had failed, which will necessitate a restore from backup.  We're currently restoring the server's data from backup.  We don't yet have an estimate as to when that will complete.  We'll provide further updates as they become available.

UPDATE 2:
As of 4:45 PM, Wednesday, July 12, TSO has restored access to all AdminFS shares except CNS and Communications.  The AdminFS shares are currently read-only.  We expect to return those to read/write status on July 13.  Also, folder permissions were not able to be restored from the backup.  We found an alternate method to restore permissions, but it's possible some additional corrections may be needed.  If you notice any permissions that were not correctly reset, please contact the TSO Help Desk.  If your workstation does not automatically reconnect to its mapped drives on AdminFS, please reboot and contact the Help Desk if you're still unable to access.  Home directories and the CNS and Communications shares are still being restored from backup.  We'll provide further updates as they become available and appreciate your patience as we work to restore full functionality.

UPDATE 3:
As of 3:45 PM, Thursday, July 13, TSO has restored full access to all AdminFS shares except CNS and Communications.  If you notice any permissions that were not correctly reset, please contact the TSO Help Desk.  Home directories and the CNS and Communications shares are still being restored from backup.  We'll provide further updates as they become available and appreciate your patience as we work to restore full functionality.

UPDATE 4:
As of 3:30 PM, Friday, July 14, TSO has restored full access to all home directories stored on legion.  If your workstation does not automatically reconnect to its home directory, please reboot and contact the Help Desk if you experience any issues.  The CNS and Communications shares are still being restored from backup.  We'll provide further updates as they become available and appreciate your patience as we work to restore full functionality.

UPDATE 5:
As of 10:30 AM, Monday, July 17, TSO has restored full access to the Communications share.  The directory could not be restored to its original share, so users will need to remap the drive as \\\\commshare.cc.gatech.edu\\communications.  We have instructions to map a drive at http://support.cc.gatech.edu/howto/how-map-network-drive-windows and http://support.cc.gatech.edu/howto/how-map-network-drive-mac-os-x.  The Help Desk will also reach out to known users of the share to offer assistance.  As the remainder of the shares to be restored are TSO-use only, this will be our last update on this notice.  We appreciate your patience throughout this restore process.

UPDATE 6:
As of 4:30 PM, Monday, July 17, TSO has restored full access to all directories and shares stored on legion.
