On Friday, June 20, 2008, the server gaia3.cc.gatech.edu stopped providing shell access, starting at 3:30 AM. This server is a general-purpose, interactive UNIX server used by faculty and graduate students. The system console was unresponsive, so the machine was rebooted. It was again providing services at 11:50 AM on June 20.
