External network connectivity for the campus was briefly offline.

Between approximately 3:25 PM and 3:36 PM, Tuesday, September 23, 2014.


WHY DID IT HAPPEN?
While troubleshooting a network configuration, offsite connectivity was inadvertently impacted.


WHO WAS AFFECTED?
Anyone attempting to access external resources from on-campus or attempting to access campus resources from off-campus.


WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
No user action should be required.


HAS THE PROBLEM BEEN RESOLVED?
Yes.  The networking configuration was rolled back to its original state, resulting in restoration of service.
