Computer Training

TSO does not offer instructor-led, classroom-style computer training, however one-on-one sessions are offered to new staff hires.  For computer training needs, Georgia Tech offers a couple of nice options:

  • Office of Human Resources Computer Training - available to Georgia Tech faculty and staff, OHR Training Services offers instructor-led computer training for several applications, such as Microsoft Office applications, Internet operations, graphics and technical IT areas. Application training is provided by New Horizons, a nationally recognized training firm. You can take classes on the Georgia Tech campus, at the New Horizons Learning Center in Atlanta (pricing information). Some specialized courses, such as Information Security, are taught on-campus by Georgia Tech experts.
  • Lynda - an online subscription library that teaches the latest software tools and skills through high-quality instructional videos taught by recognized industry experts.  Georgia Tech provides unlimited access to lynda.com for all faculty, staff, and students.
