WHAT HAPPENED?

College of Computing networking experienced a brief outage.

WHEN DID IT HAPPEN?

College of Computing networking went down at about 10:15AM, February 17th. Networking was restored at about 10:25AM.

WHY DID IT HAPPEN?

The two routers that serve all College of Computing networking (rich-coc-rtr and ni-coc-rtr) crashed after a "show run" command and reloaded. The routers came back up on their own and have been stable since. TSO and OIT are monitoring and the existing Cisco TAC (Technical Assistance Center) case that was opened on February 3rd has been updated in hopes of identifying a root cause of the crash. Here is a link to the previous outage.
