[Resolved] This afternoon around 1:55pm one of the DNS servers went down.
This caused slowness to applications which use the DNS server to resolve DNS.
After the DNS server was rebooted and came backup around 4:13pm all application started working normal (Duo, TACACS, etc).
Campus is experiencing delays and timeouts to a variety of services across campus.
WHEN IS IT HAPPENING?
TSO became aware of the issue at 2:00pm, 7/12/19. TSO reached out to OIT, who were already aware and working to find a solution.
WHY IS IT HAPPENING?
The cause is currently unknown, but OIT Network Services are investigating the problem.
WHO IS AFFECTED?
A variety of services across campus are affected including mail routing and user authentication.
