WHAT’S HAPPENING?

TSO will be performing network maintenance on the switches located in the College of Computing Building.

WHEN IS IT HAPPENING?

Thursday, May 7th, from 8AM to 5PM

WHY IS IT HAPPENING?

Four networking switches in the College of Computing Building - two in CCB134, one in CCB332, and one in CCB359 - are in need of physical upgrades. New supervisor blades will be installed along with new fiber jumpers and new dual uplink 10GB network transceivers.

TSO will also use this opportunity to perform software upgrades on the other closet switches in the building, requiring brief downtime (~5 minutes) when the switches reboot.

WHO IS AFFECTED?

Networking in the College of Compting, both wired and wireless will be affected during these upgrades. Networking in the CCB data center will not be affected.

Affected services: wired networking to CCB offices, wireless in CCB
