Saturday, August 25, 2012, between 8:00 AM and 11:00 AM.


WHY IS IT HAPPENING?
The network uplinks will be upgraded and moved to new hardware.  

WHO IS AFFECTED?
Users of computers and printers on the 3rd floor of the CCB. Users of the systems and services housed in CCB 247, as listed below.

Affected hosts/services:
- CS servers (know, gomez)
- Networking group servers (atlas, helios, canopus, and many more)
- CompArch resources (pasta)
- CERCS resources (vogue, awing, warp, maquis, polymoa, sith, versace)
- CSE resources (ion cluster, woolybear cluster, nitro cluster, pele, can, mirasol, plinko, dice, house)
- Instructional servers (jinx, jazz, shuttles, E-test)
- General resources (killerbee cluster, research.cc.gatech.edu web sites, wiki.cc.gatech.edu, swiki.cc.gatech.edu)
- HSI server rack
- Student organizations rack


WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
Machines serviced by the individual uplinks will briefly lose network connectivity while the uplinks are moved.  Affected users should be prepared for network interruptions during the maintenance period.
