WHAT’S HAPPENING?
Campus Facilities must perform major chiller plant work on the 10th Street Chiller Plant.  This will affect KACB comfort cooling and TSO's 2219 data center.


WHEN IS IT HAPPENING?
The maintenance window is expected to begin at 8:00 PM on Friday, January 15, and run through 6:00 AM, Monday, January 18, 2016.  TSO will begin shutting down servers at 7:00 PM, January 15, and expects to have all services restored approximately 3 hours after the chiller plant comes back online.


WHY IS IT HAPPENING?
Campus Facilities must perform major chiller plant work on 10th Street Chiller Plant.  Due to the reduced chilled water capacity, TSO must shut down non-critical servers in KACB 2219.


WHO IS AFFECTED?
Occupants of KACB offices and lab space.  Users of the following services:

Affected services:
csegradprograms.gatech.edu
FileMaker Pro
GOATS
intranet.cc.gatech.edu
SAM keybox server (no updates while down
TA App
UNIX and Windows print servers


WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
KACB occupants should shut down their non-essential systems before leaving for the day on Friday.

UPDATE:
The chiller plant maintenance was completed early.  TSO restarted the affected servers, and all affected services were returned to normal operations by 7:55 PM, Sunday, January 17, 2016.
