WHAT’S HAPPENING?
Campus Facilities will shut down the chilled water supply to Petit and CCB.  This will affect CCB comfort cooling and TSO's 247, HPCF, and 312 data centers.

WHEN IS IT HAPPENING?
The maintenance window is scheduled to run from 6:30 AM to 9:30 PM on Saturday, April 23, 2016.  TSO will begin shutting down servers at 6:00 AM, April 23, and expects to have all systems returned to service approximately 3 hours after the chilled water supply is restored.

WHY IS IT HAPPENING?
In preparation for new steam vaults on Atlantic, the chilled water lines need to be rerouted.  Due to the complete shutdown of chilled water supply, TSO must shut down all servers in CCB 247, HPCF, and 312 data centers as well as all networking equipment in CCB.

WHO IS AFFECTED?
Occupants of CCB offices and lab space.  All academic and research servers located in CCB will be unavailable during the maintenance window.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
CCB occupants should shut down their non-essential systems before leaving for the day on Friday, April 22, 2016.

WHO SHOULD YOU CONTACT FOR QUESTIONS?
Feel free to contact the TSO Help Desk (CCB 148, 404.894.7065, helpdesk@cc.gatech.edu).

UPDATE:
The contractor identified an alternate location to install the new steam vaults, so chilled water for CCB and Petit will not be affected.  As a result, this maintenance window has been cancelled.  TSO will no longer shut down servers on April 23, and CCB occupants do not need to shut down their systems on April 22, 2016.
