REMINDER 2:  The College's email migration is scheduled to begin TONIGHT at 6:00 PM.

•            Before 6:00 PM tonight:
              o            Complete the pre-migration checklist at https://techworks.psauth.gatech.edu/gt_data/content/gt_ecc_premigration_checklist-expanded.pdf
              o            Be sure your permanent email address is correct at https://passport.gatech.edu.

•            During the migration:
              o            If you currently forward email off-campus, it will STOP BEING FORWARDED. You must manually re-enable forwarding after the migration is complete.
              o            You will have read-only access to your existing mail folders until they are migrated over to Office 365. A 4G mailbox should finish migrating in a day.
              o            Incoming email will not be delayed. After 8:00 AM on Saturday, login to https://mail.gatech.edu with your GT account and password to access your new email.
              o            Please call the after-hours emergency # (404-385-3833) if you experience problems checking for new email.

•            After the migration:  
              o            If you forward email off-campus, re-enable forwarding:
                                         to enable forward only, go to https://passport.gatech.edu
                                         to enable store and forward, go to http://emailtoolbox.gatech.edu/eform/submit/store-and-forward
              o            Complete the post-migration checklist at http://emailtransition.gatech.edu/img/gt_ecc_postmigration_checklist.pdf.
              o            Reconfigure your email clients. For instructions, go to http://support.cc.gatech.edu/services/e-mail. Starting Monday, TSO will be on-site at each of the help desks to assist.
              o            Zimbra users will still be able to see their old mailbox for 30 days at https://mail.gatech.edu.
              o            GTRI Exchange users will need to work with the Help Desk if they need access to their old mailbox.

IMPORTANT POINTS:
•    After 8:00 AM on Saturday, you can login to https://mail.gatech.edu to check for new email in your inbox.
•    Your other mailbox folders will be inaccessible until they migrate over to Office 365.  On average, a 4GB mailbox should finish migrating in a day.
•    Zimbra users will still be able to see their old mailbox for 30 days after the migration at https://mail.gatech.edu.
•    GTRI Exchange users will need to work with the Help Desk if they need access to their old mailbox.
•    If you currently forward email off-campus:
o    During the migration this will stop.  
o    After the migration, you’ll need to re-enable forwarding.  
o    To configure forward only, go to https://passport.gatech.edu

WHAT'S HAPPENING?
CoC faculty, staff, and some student employee mailboxes will be migrated to Office 365.

Georgia Tech is moving to a unified email, calendar, and contacts (ECC) solution under Office 365.


WHO IS AFFECTED?
CoC faculty, staff, and some student employees.


WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
Prior to the migration, affected users should perform the following steps:
1. Complete the Pre-Migration Checklist at https://techworks.psauth.gatech.edu/gt_data/content/gt_ecc_premigration_checklist-expanded.pdf.  MyGaTech/Zimbra users are addressed on the first page, while Exchange users should reference the second page.
2. Review your primary email address listed under http://passport.gatech.edu.  This will become your from address in Office 365.  By clicking the Change button next to the address, you may review your available email addresses and select a different primary address, if desired.

After the migration, affected users should perform the following steps:
1. Complete the Post-Migration Checklist at http://emailtransition.gatech.edu/img/gt_ecc_postmigration_checklist.pdf.  Where it references Configure email clients and mobile devices, please visit http://support.cc.gatech.edu/services/e-mail for settings and howtos.    
2. If you currently forward off-campus, please see https://support.cc.gatech.edu/support-tools/faq/what-gt-e-mail-calendar-and-contacts-transition-office-365-all-about#forward for details about what you need to do post-migration.

TSO will be on-site in CCB 148, KACB 3123, and TSRB 347 to provide assistance after the migration starting Monday morning, November 16.  If you run into any issues or don't feel comfortable reconfiguring your email clients, feel free to send a ticket or stop by the Help Desk location in your building, and we'll assist.
