The server steffani.cc.gatech.edu, which provides services as cvs.cc.gatech.edu, detected an over-temperature condition and shut itself down at approximately 2:45 PM on Friday, October 31, 2008. This would have affected CVS users of the system. The server was recently moved, and the problem was determined to be due to the way the system was positioned within its rack. The problem was corrected, and the server was again providing services at 10:00 AM, November 3.
