WHAT HAPPENED?
The Deepthought and Jinx clusters were unreachable.

WHEN DID IT HAPPEN?
From approximately 8:30 AM, Saturday, September 17, until 11:50 AM, Monday, September 19, 2016.

WHY DID IT HAPPEN?
During the campus network outage (see http://support.cc.gatech.edu/alerts/campus-network-outage-3 for details), the login nodes for the affected clusters, as well as deepthought19, attempted to renew their DHCP leases.  They were unable to reach their DHCP server and lost their IP addresses.

WHO WAS AFFECTED?
CoC faculty and students attempting to login to the affected clusters.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
No user action is required.

HAS THE PROBLEM BEEN RESOLVED?
Yes.  TSO forced a DHCP refresh on the affected nodes.  The Deepthought login node was available by 11:40 AM, and the other nodes were available by 11:50 AM.
