The Exchange server is not reachable by some OWA, Mac Mail, and iPhone users.

The time varies by device. The earliest reports of problems are from Saturday, April 30, 2011.


WHY DID IT HAPPEN?
This is currently being investigated.


WHO WAS AFFECTED?
CoC faculty and staff using OWA, Mac Mail, or iPhones.


WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
As a temporary workaround, affected users may replace ccmail.cc.gatech.edu with mail.dlpe.gatech.edu in their browser's address bar for OWA and their server settings on their iPhone and Mac Mail and login normally.


HAS THE PROBLEM BEEN RESOLVED?

UPDATE:
A faulty firewall load-balancing server was determined to be the cause of the Exchange issues some users were seeing. It was taken offline for troubleshooting at 11:15 AM, May 2, 2011. Affected users who had switched to mail.dlpe.gatech.edu may now switch back to ccmail.cc.gatech.edu and resume normal usage.
