WHAT HAPPENED?

GTRI hosted Exchange email service was unreachable.

WHEN DID IT HAPPEN?

It was discovered at approximately 6:50 AM on 10/14/2014 and repaired by approximately 8:30 AM on 10/14/2014.

WHY DID IT HAPPEN?

GTRI, in an effort to upgrade its Windows domain controllers, replaced a domain controller overnight (10/13 - 10/14) that was their primary DNS point for the gtri.ext domain.  This new domain controller was unaware of the cc.gt.buzz domain (operated by the CoC) and, thus, could not resolve our domain - which caused authentication failures.
