WHAT HAPPENED?
OIT upgraded the GT GitHub service (github.gatech.edu) to the latest release, 2.4.3.  There was a brief outage of the service due to the upgrade.
 
 
WHEN DID IT HAPPEN?
Saturday, January 23, 2016 from 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
 
 
WHY DID IT HAPPEN?
To upgrade the server core to the latest stable version in an effort to increase efficiency and security.
 
 
WHO WAS AFFECTED?
Any CoC faculty, staff, and students attempting to use the affected GitHub service during the maintenance window.
 
 
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
No user action is required.
