WHAT’S HAPPENING?

Following the mopier system upgrades Friday, August 9th, some users are experiencing issues printing from Windows. Affected users reported print jobs that seem to submit correctly, but would disappear without printing when released at a mopier.

The issue was first reported to TSO Monday morning, 8/12/19. 

WHY IS IT HAPPENING?

Following the upgrade to hollister and system updates to the individual mopiers on Friday, August 9th - more info here: Printing Support (Uniflow) Outage - some Windows users are experiencing issues printing due to out-of-date drivers and/or stale credentials.

WHO IS AFFECTED?

Mac users seem to be unaffected. Windows users should follow the steps listed below. TSO is currently investigating whether any Linux users are affected.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?

Windows users experiencing issues printing should try the following steps. 

  • Press the Windows button and type 'Credential Manager' and hit enter.
  • Select 'Windows Credentials'
  • If there is an entry with 'hollister.cc.gatech.edu' in the title under 'Windows Credentials', click it and select 'Remove'
  • Press the Windows button and type '\\\\hollister.cc.gatech.edu\\input-win' to download the updated drivers from the server
  • Try printing a document
