UPDATE: After the LDAP server patching that occurred on the morning of Thursday, November 12, one of the LDAP servers did not have a full set of firewall rules.  As a consequence, some subnets had intermittent LDAP failures whenever load balancing pushed requests to the broken server.  The firewall rules were restored and LDAP service returned to normal by 1:45 PM on November 12.
