WHY DID IT HAPPEN?
The system was operating in a degraded mode due to low available resources, resulting in hanging processes and logins.


WHO WAS AFFECTED?
CoC faculty and staff attempting to use or login to killerbee1.cc.gatech.edu.


WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
Users attempting to perform resource-intensive research tasks on the killerbees should contact the TSO Help Desk to coordinate.  Users who are performing instructional computing tasks on the killerbees should instead use one of the Instructional clusters (http://support.cc.gatech.edu/facilities/instructional-labs).


HAS THE PROBLEM BEEN RESOLVED?
Following the reboot, killerbee1 was again available.
