WHAT’S HAPPENING?
All buildings on the north side of campus will be without network connectivity.


WHEN IS IT HAPPENING?
On Tuesday, August 7, 2012, from 4:00 AM to 6:00 AM.


WHY IS IT HAPPENING?
OIT will upgrade the North Interconnect router.  TSO will use this maintenance window to bring online the new College router that supports 10Gb connectivity.  TSO will perform testing until 7:00 AM and will roll back the change if any major problems are detected.


WHO IS AFFECTED?
All buildings on the north side of campus including all CoC buildings.


WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
Users should save their work and logout of their computers before leaving for the day on August 6.

UPDATE:

Following the TSO network maintenance, the main College router lost its configuration.  This resulted in a network outage for the CCB, TSRB, and portions of KACB.  The router was reprogrammed, and network connectivity was restored by 9:00 AM, August 7.
