Partial Campus Email Outage

UPDATE :   At approximately 4:30PM mail began flowing correctly. No email is believed to have been lost in the process, and should be sending out now.  

WHAT HAPPENED?
Email sent to helpdesk@cc.gatech.edu and other non-personal email aliases, including Mailman mail aliases, are not passing through.  This appears to only be affecting mail sent from on campus email addresses.


WHEN DID IT HAPPEN?
First identified by TSO personnel at approximately 2:00 PM on May 1, 2018, and ongoing.


WHY DID IT HAPPEN?
Both TSO and OIT personnel are investigating.


WHO WAS AFFECTED?
Anyone sending email to helpdesk@cc.gatech.edu, mailman list addresses, and potentially other email aliases.


WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
No user action is required.  Any mail sent to affected aliases may need to be resent once the issue is resolved.
 
 
HAS THE PROBLEM BEEN RESOLVED?
