WHAT HAPPENED?
CoC faculty and staff Exchange users are unable to connect to Exchange through Outlook.

Following the Exchange patching on Thursday, February 20, 2014 (see http://support.cc.gatech.edu/alerts/exchange-bes-maintenance-12 for further details).


WHY DID IT HAPPEN?
That's currently being investigated.


WHO WAS AFFECTED?
CoC Faculty and staff Exchange users.


WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
IOS and Android phone clients and OWA (https://ccmail.cc.gatech.edu) do not appear to be affected.  We're still investigating whether other thick email clients are affected.  Until the issue is resolved, affected users should use OWA or their mobile devices for email and calendaring.


HAS THE PROBLEM BEEN RESOLVED?
No, the issue is still being investigated.

UPDATE:
The problem was resolved and Outlook was again able to connect to Exchange as of 11:15 AM, February 21, 2014.
