WHAT HAPPENED?
Partial loss of network connectivity resulting in the loss of some web and printer services.

 
WHEN DID IT HAPPEN?
From approximately 9:20 AM until 11:45 AM on Tuesday, April 4, 2017.

 
WHY DID IT HAPPEN?
The main CoC routers lost failover communications, and network traffic stopped passing.

 
WHO WAS AFFECTED?
Users of the following web sites and services.

grad.cc.gatech.edu
help.cc.gatech.edu (RT)
intranet.cc.gatech.edu
scan-to-email from the hollister CoC mopiers
 
 
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
No user action is required.

 
HAS THE ISSUE BEEN RESOLVED?
Yes.  TSO personnel worked with the OIT network firewall team to track the problem to a bug in the router code.  They tried several previous fixes, which did not work, and service was ultimately restored by a reboot.  TSO and OIT will continue to work to isolate the bug.
