WHAT HAPPENED?
Some GT account password expiration emails were not delivered.
WHEN DID IT HAPPEN?
Since at least January 10, 2013.
WHY DID IT HAPPEN?
The GTRI Barracuda Spam & Virus Firewall was incorrectly blocking those emails.
WHO WAS AFFECTED?
Some CoC faculty and staff who utilize the CoC Exchange email and calendaring environment.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
TSO is in the process of releasing the recently blocked emails. Users who receive an expiration notice or who are unable to login to systems that utilize GT credentials should visit https://passport.gatech.edu to check password status and update it if required.
HAS THE PROBLEM BEEN RESOLVED?
Yes. GTRI has updated the settings to prevent this from happening in the future.
