In preparation for the installation of the RIM Center in the College of Computing building, contractors will be onsite Sunday, November 16, 2008, from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM to upgrade the existing power on the 2nd floor of CCB. This will result in a power outage to all machine rooms in CCB except for the High Performance Computing Facility (HPCF). In addition, it will also result in a network outage for all of TSRB, Klaus and CCB. This ultimately means that all research, academic, and administrative computing resources will be unavailable.

TSO had hoped to delay the maintenance until after the semester had completed but is unable to do so because of the availability of the electrical contractors coupled with the RIM construction deadline.

Please note that the previously scheduled migration of CoC Zimbra email accounts to the OIT Zimbra service from November 14 at 6:00 PM through November 17 at 11:59 PM will not be affected by this maintenance.
