WHAT HAPPENED?
RT (help.cc.gatech.edu), support.cc.gatech.edu, and mailman.cc.gatech.edu are showing security certificate errors and may be blocking access depending on web browser settings.

 
WHEN DID IT HAPPEN?
At approximately 7:00 AM on January 11, 2017, and ongoing.

 
WHY DID IT HAPPEN?
A wildcard security certificate for *.cc.gatech.edu websites expired.

 
WHO WAS AFFECTED?
Any user attempting to access the above mentioned web sites served by the expired certificate.
 
 
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
For immediate access, a temporary access exception can be configured, per browser.  Please contact helpdesk@cc.gatech.edu for assistance if necessary.

 
HAS THE ISSUE BEEN RESOLVED?
No.  TSO is actively issuing updated security certificates for the affected web sites.  This notice will be updated once further details are available.

UPDATE:  The security certificates for RT (help.cc.gatech.edu), support.cc.gatech.edu, and mailman.cc.gatech.edu have been updated and those sites are working correctly again.  However, two other sites are also affected: grad.cc.gatech.edu and ta-app.cc.gatech.edu.  Security certificates for those two sites are forthcoming.
