WHAT HAPPENED?
Networking was briefly unavailable in TSRB.
 
 
WHEN DID IT HAPPEN?
From approximately 9:40 AM to 9:50 AM on Monday, July 25, 2016.

 
WHY DID IT HAPPEN?
The compressor for the HVAC system shorted out, causing the circuit breaker to trip.  This interrupted power to the core network switch for the building.

 
WHO WAS AFFECTED?
Any CoC faculty, staff, and students attempting to access the network while in TSRB during the specified time period.
 
 
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
No user action is required.

 
HAS THE PROBLEM BEEN RESOLVED?
Yes.  Network functionality has been restored.  Building management is assessing the HVAC compressor to determine what corrective measures to take.  Further information will be relayed as it becomes available.
