TSO will reboot the CoC Cisco VPN, which will result in approximately 5 minutes of downtime for the VPN.

On Tuesday, May 11, 2010, at 5:30 PM.


WHY IS IT HAPPENING?
There is a software bug that can cause login failures when the device has been online for more than 365 days, which ours has, and TSO has received a login failure report. The recommended fix from Cisco is a reboot and/or upgrade. On May 11, the VPN will be rebooted. A code upgrade will be scheduled for a later date.


WHO IS AFFECTED?
CoC faculty and staff attempting to use the VPN during this maintenance window.


WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
CoC VPN users should be prepared for interruption during the maintenance period. Following the maintenance, users will need to reconnect.
