The server suffered a hardware failure.

Users of the following websites. Some of the sites are down while others are running in a degraded state, with database-driven features unavailable.

No user action is required.


HAS THE PROBLEM BEEN RESOLVED?
No. TSO is working to restore the databases to another server.

UPDATE:
The databases were moved to the database server cobblestone.cc.gatech.edu, and flagstone is now an alias pointing to cobblestone. All affected servers were returned to normal operation at 4:40 PM, Friday, July 8, 2011.
