The servers and, which provide email services to faculty, staff, and students through the Zimbra Web email interface and as and, became unreachable at 11:50 AM on Wednesday, July 23, 2008. This was due to incorrect information that was placed in their switch configurations during the DNS maintenance being performed at that time. Services were restored at 12:03 PM, July 23. Email received during that time was queued and was then delivered after services were restored.
