Zimbra Email Outage

The servers email.cc.gatech.edu and email2.cc.gatech.edu, which provide email services to faculty, staff, and students through the Zimbra Web email interface and as imap.cc.gatech.edu and imap2.cc.gatech.edu, became unreachable at 11:50 AM on Wednesday, July 23, 2008. This was due to incorrect information that was placed in their switch configurations during the DNS maintenance being performed at that time. Services were restored at 12:03 PM, July 23. Email received during that time was queued and was then delivered after services were restored.
