For troubleshooting purposes, the TSO Help Desk will sometimes ask for the full headers of an email.  Here's how to obtain those.

Outlook 2011 (Mac)

  1. Right click the mail message. If you do not have a mouse, hold CTRL (Control) and click the mail message.
  2. Select “View Source” from the right click menu.
  3. A new TextEdit document will open containing the entire contents and headers of the message. Click anywhere inside.
  4. Press Command + A to select all the text in that field.
  5. Press Command + C to copy all the text in that field.
  6. Paste the copied text in your response email and send.

Outlook 2010 (Windows)

  1. Double-click the mail message so that it opens in its own window.
  2. Click the File tab. Select the Info tab, if not selected.
  3. Click the Properties button. The headers are at the bottom of the Properties window in the Internet headers field.  Click anywhere in that.
  4. Press CTRL + A to select all the text in that field.
  5. Press CTRL + C to copy all the text in that field.
  6. Paste the copied text in your response email and send.
