WHAT HAPPENED?
The chiller units in the CoC server room are offline.


WHEN DID IT HAPPEN?
At approximately 6:00 PM, Tuesday, December 18, 2012.


WHY DID IT HAPPEN?
The cause appears to be a faulty transformer.


WHO WAS AFFECTED?
CoC faculty and students attempting to access instructional or research systems housed in CCB 247 or the HPCF.  Affected services include the killerbees, Drupal sites, and the wikis.


WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
No user action is required at this time.


HAS THE PROBLEM BEEN RESOLVED?
No.  TSO arrived at approximately 8:00 PM and began shutting down the same servers as on December 17 (see http://support.cc.gatech.edu/alerts/ccb-247-chiller-outage for details).  GT Facilities have been contacted.
