Answer
To request access to login to a machine or machine group or to gain sudo access, users should should email the Help Desk and cc their lab manager or faculty sponsor. Once the Help Desk receives approval, access will be granted for the following default terms:
- faculty/staff/grad students: one year
- undergrad students: until the end of the semester
If desired, the faculty sponsor or lab manager may specify a different expiration or to have access remain active for as long as the account is active.
