TSO has restricted access to UDP port 631 on college printer subnets to the college networks.

This change occurred at 6:00 PM on Thursday, September 26, 2024

WHY IS IT HAPPENING?
There is a vulnerability for CUPS on UDP port 631 and there is currently no patch available. The campus does have this blocked at the border but in an abundance of caution, TSO is restricting it further to just CoC.

WHO IS AFFECTED?
Users needing access from outside the CoC network.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
No action is needed at this time.
