**UPDATE: TSO System Notice - Outage: Feb 15, 2010 - Exchange bounced email**
WHAT?S HAPPENING?
Some Exchange users were receiving bounced messages after sending email to the following users:
Ron Arkin (arkin@cc.gatech.edu)
Chad Huneycutt (chadh@cc.gatech.edu)
Janet Kolodner (jlk@cc.gatech.edu)
Santosh Vempala (vempala@cc.gatech.edu)
Jon Giffin (giffin@cc.gatech.edu)
Calton Pu (calton@cc.gatech.edu)
WHAT?S THE CURRENT STATUS?
GTRI rebuilt the Exchange Global Address List (GAL) which is also the local Offline Address Book (OAB) to resolve the problem.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
Exchange Users need to:
1) Update your OAB in Outlook on your desktop and laptop by doing the following:
- From the tool bar menu, under the ?Send/Receive? drop down tab, select ?Download Address Book??
2) Remove your auto-complete entries in Outlook for Ron Arkin (arkin@cc.gatech.edu), Chad Huneycutt (chadh@cc.gatech.edu), Janet Kolodner (jlk@cc.gatech.edu), Santosh Vempala (vempala@cc.gatech.edu), Jon Giffin (giffin@cc.gatech.edu), and Calton Pu (calton@cc.gatech.edu) on your desktop and laptop by doing the following:
- In the To: field, begin to type in the recipient's email address until the auto-complete box appears with the address in it. Press the down arrow key on your keyboard to select the problem address and hit the Delete key on your keyboard.

TSO will remove dated Exchange accounts.
WHEN IS IT HAPPENING?
On Tuesday, February 2, 2010, from 5:00 PM to 5:30 PM.
WHY IS IT HAPPENING?
To eliminate unused Exchange mailboxes and free up Enterprise CALs.
WHO IS AFFECTED?
Exchange users may receive bounceback messages related to the removed mailboxes.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
If users send email to email addresses associated with the removed mailboxes, they may receive bouncebacks. To avoid this, users will need to remove the recipient's entry from their autocomplete file. To do so, in the To: field, begin to type in the recipient's email address until the autocomplete box appears with the address in it. Press the down arrow key on your keyboard to select the problem address and hit the Delete key on your keyboard.
