As previously announced, on March 4, 2008, OIT implemented a new policy to automatically discard all incoming @cc.gatech.edu email with an X-Gt-Spam-Rating greater than 90%. This policy was implemented earlier in February for other campus units but CC asked for an extension to notify research projects who may have depended on the spam for research data. The new policy has greatly reduced the amount of spam reaching the College.
