WHAT HAPPENED?
Several OIT hosted web sites are currently unavailable on campus.

WHEN DID IT HAPPEN?
Beginning at approximately 3:50 PM, Friday, April 1, 2011.

WHY DID IT HAPPEN?
This is currently being investigated.

WHO WAS AFFECTED?

Anyone attempting to connect to the affected sites from on campus, which include www.gatech.edu, TechWorks, and MyGaTech. Off campus access does not appear to be affected.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
No user action is required.

HAS THE PROBLEM BEEN RESOLVED?
No. The issue is currently being investigated.

UPDATE:

OIT was experiencing DNS resolution problems. They were resolved and all services were restored to normal operation by 5:10 PM, April 1, 2011.
