This change is part of Georgia Tech's utilization model for email.
WHO IS AFFECTED?
All faculty and staff with a Microsoft 365 mailbox
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
Any emails older than three years will transfer from Outlook inboxes to an archive mailbox, which is also accessible directly in users’ Outlook application. Users do not need to take any action leading up to this change, as the transfer will be automatic. Please note: Your email is not being deleted, only archived and you will continue to be able to access them. The knowledge article, Access Your Microsoft 365 Exchange Online Archive, shares information on how users can access their archive mailbox based on the Outlook client used.
