Microsoft Education Product Roadmap and Vision

Microsoft?s Enterprise Roadmap presentation is designed to help our higher education clients learn about the significant product developments occurring throughout the Microsoft family of solutions and how to better prepare for their deployment. Microsoft Education?s mission is to enable educators, students, and educational institutions to realize their full potential. We see technology facilitating new ways of learning and new levels of understanding, as people use computing devices & powerful software linked by web services to make those vital connections in the classroom, on the job, and at home.

This presentation provides a 30,000 foot view of the Microsoft Product Portfolio and how it is evolving over the next 3 - 5 years. Microsoft has come a long way in the breadth of its product line and made significant strides in the realms of security and interoperability.

All major product families will be covered in desktop, server and service platforms. Product workloads and plans will be framed in major release waves: Longhorn and Seven. From a technology perspective, this session will cover Client, Server, Information Worker/Anywhere Collaboration (Office System), Dynamic System Initiative (management), Forefront, .NET Application Platform, Software + Services and Trustworthy Computing.
