WHAT'S HAPPENING?
There are emails that are being circulated, examples of which are below, that request users to follow a link that directs to an unusual URL. These are not legitimate emails.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
If you receive an email like these, do not click on the link. You may safely delete it. NACHA has further information about these fraudulent emails at https://www.nacha.org/node/983.
You can learn to recognize phishing emails. They frequently contain poor grammar and unusual wording. Sometimes they will use a legitimate-looking email address, but they don't always. These want you to visit a site with unusual URL's that have nothing to do with the sender. Legitimate financial details should not be shared over an unencrypted website (http://).
