TECHNICAL DETAILSABOUT THIS SCHEDULED SERVICE INTERRUPTION

Full support for Cisco AP1142 access points, which will beinstalled in some buildings this summer, requires wireless controller softwareversion 5.2. We?re currently running version 4.2.112.0. Our Cisco customerengineer just informed us that going directly from 4.2.112.0 to 5.2 can causeproblems, so we need to upgrade to 4.2.176.0 first. Each upgrade takes a coupleof hours because there are 20 wireless controllers and over 2,000 wirelessaccess points that each have to download new code and reboot. Thus, we need toproceed with doing the first step (4.2.112.0 to 4.2.176.0) as soon as possible,so that we have time to test and upgrade to 5.2 before the end of summersemester.
