WHAT'S HAPPENING?
OIT will upgrade MyGaTech/Zimbra to v6.0.

WHEN IS IT HAPPENING?
Saturday, October 16, 2010, from 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

WHY IS IT HAPPENING?
To gain access to new features and enhancements. A partial list is shown below:

All email on 1 page
Tabbed Compose Windows for Email
Select All messages option
Automatic Spell Check
New Sorting options
Receipt confirmation emails
Ability to run filter on existing mail
Drag and Drop attachments in Firefox (Plugin Required)
Reading pane on the right side
Easier Cut & Paste
Search Builder
Able to delete attachments from email
Contact Info on 1 page
Improved Tasks
Calendar List View
Calendar response color bar
New Mobile client for phones
Task sync to mobile devices
More Themes
New Preference settings and layout
Ability to turn your Zimlets on or off
Keyboard shortcuts displayed on menu items

WHO IS AFFECTED?
Users of MyGaTech/Zimbra services, including BuzzPort users, who try to access email or group/course calendars. People who send email to users of MyGaTech/Zimbra may receive a mail delivery delayed message during this maintenance.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
No user action is required, except for Outlook users. Outlook users who use the Zimbra Connector for Outlook (ZCO) will need to download the latest version (6.0.8) of the connector in order to take advantage of the new features. This connector will be available on Software Distribution (http://software.oit.gatech.edu/) on October 16, 2010. Email sent to My GaTech/Zimbra users during the period of this outage will be queued in the central systems and delivered after the system is in operation again.
