OIT has announced that they are upgrading two database servers between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM on Thursday, December 18, 2008. This will impact several services. The complete announcement is shown below.

Scheduled Service Interruption

WHAT IS HAPPENING?
In an effort to ensure continued stability of our systems, OIT is
performing an upgrade for two of our database servers supporting the data
warehouse and other application databases (aka ANUBIS and HATHOR).
The services will be unavailable for up to 3 hours (Tomorrow) Thursday,
December 18 between 1700-2000.

WHO IS AFFECTED BY THIS INTERRUPTION?

Affected users include, but not limited, the following:
* Business Objects (AFACTS)
* Buzzport
* Coldfusion
* Contracts Administration
* Streaming media
* Prism
* CIOS
* Software distribution
* Grants.gov
* Identity Management
* OIT Website
* OSP
* Parking
* Ad Hoc Reporting (GL,HR,SPD)
* Buzzcard Data (Auxiliary Services)
* Housing
* Grants Web
* PO Invoice Inquiry
* Project Number Inquiry
* Faculty Elections
* Student Elections
* Conference Services
* WebWise

Effects to these users are:
Users of will not be able to access services during this time

WHEN IS IT HAPPENING?
Maintenance will occur between 5:00PM and 8:00PM tomorrow evening,
Thursday, December 18.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO WHEN THE SYSTEM IS AVAILABLE AGAIN?
Business as usual. Users should be able to utilize services as normal
after the maintenance is complete.
