This week, OIT will be upgrading all of the LAWN wireless access points in the Technology Square Research Building (TSRB). The older 802.11G access points will be replaced with newer 802.11N, which support better range and higher throughput. The work involves swapping out the old access points one at a time which may result in brief 30 second or so outages in wireless service, but only in the affected area. OIT started the work today (5/24/2011) and should be complete by the end of day Friday (5/27/2011).
